Under general supervision, serves as the patients medical liaison among the practice, hospital, support services, and payors. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures and applies to a variety situations appropriately. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish responsibilities. Performs a wide variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred. At least two (2) years of directly related experience such as medical coding or billing, patient advocate, or social services, required. Must demonstrate the ability to verbally articulate information and questions with others in order to perform responsibilities effectively. Must be personable. Proficiency with computer systems, medical billing systems, and MicroSoft Office Outlook & Word, required.
